 1. How many types of plant reproduction?

Ans: Two types of reproduction.

        i) Sexual

       ii) Asexual

2. Write the main parts of the flower.

Ans: i) Sepals

        ii) Petals

       iii) Stamen ( Androecium )

       iv) Pistil ( Gynoecium )

3. Write about Stamen.

Ans: Male part of the flower is called Stamen. It has two parts Anther and Filament. It contains pollen grain.

4. Write about pistil.

Ans: Female part of the flower is called pistil. It has three parts - stigma, style, and ovary. Ovules are present inside the ovary. Ovary convert into fruits and ovules into seeds.

5. Draw the all parts of the flower and Pistil.

Ans: See from your textbook.

6. Differentiate unisexual and bisexual flowers.

Ans: Unisexual flower - One reproductive part contains by flower. ( male or female )

Example - Papaya

        Bisexual flower - Both reproductive parts contain by flower. ( male and female )

Example - Hibiscus

7. What is Pollination?

Ans: Pollen is transferred from anther to stigma ( same flower or another flower ) is called pollination. If same flower - self-pollination, another flower - cross-pollination. 

8. How many types of agents of pollination?

Ans: i) Insect - Banana, Sunflower ( large, coloured, and scented flower )

        ii) Wind - Palm (a large amount of pollen with light weight )

       iii) Water - Hydrilla ( need a large amount of pollen grain )

9. What is complete flower? Give example.

Ans: If four parts ( sepal, petal, stamen, and pistil ) are present in the flower is called complete flower.

Example - Hibiscus, pea.

10. What is incomplete flower? Give example.

Ans: If any one part is absent in the flower is called incomplete flower ( pumpkin, and papaya )

11. Write some uses of flower.

Ans: i) Decoration - like Rangoli.

        ii) Medicine - lotus flower is used in Ayurveda.

       iii) Spices - Dry cloves.
